I often use local landmarks for inspiration and this one is close by on the moors in Cornwall. I was walking over the moorland near the coast when it was cold and frosty after snow had been falling and was fortunate enough to catch sight of a running hare across an open landscape with a lonely, cozy looking cottage in the background. I decided to give this sight a whimsical rendering and used a limited palette of colours to achieve the finished result. I like the atmospheric feel to the image !
