Two interlocking Handmade Keyring Fobs made from a British Decimal 1977 Silver Jubilee Commemorative Crown Coin.
The Crown is the largest legal tender coin minted by the Royal Mint measuring 38.5 mm (1 1/2").
Using a jewellers piercing saw and very small blades the coin has been cut by hand to make two interlocking horse key-chain fobs.
Two people each carry one of the key-chains and they interlock together to form the complete coin like a jigsaw.
They come in two separate gift boxes.
The key fob and chain has been cleaned, polished and coated with clear acrylic lacquer to prevent tarnishing.
Interlocking coin designs are sometimes difficult to create. Each half of the design has to interlock and 'flow' with the other half and at the same time retain their intended images when they are separated. I think that this design works well and ticks all the boxes.
