A glorious fused glass rainbow of your very own!

Measuring 18cm across, this beautiful textured rainbow is made from crushed glass carefully arranged, with one colour gradually merging into the next, then fused in my specialist kiln (named Genevieve) so all the edges soften and round, and all the separate pieces fuse into one single piece. After this, a second cycle in Genevieve shapes the rainbow over a mould, creating a gentle arch shape.

This unique rainbow could be positioned on a shelf or a window where it will catch the light and send multicoloured rays across the room, or you can use it as a candle curve by placing a simple tealight or a string of fairy lights behind it. The texture of this rainbow make it incredibly tactile, and sends the colours in multiple directions. As the entire piece is glass it will never fade in the sun, and could even be placed outside in a fairy garden or to mark a special spot in your garden.

One of these would make a wonderful housewarming gift for a friend or family member, or a beautiful present for a wedding or civil partnership celebration. Some think of rainbows as reminders of loved ones they've lost, which could make it a particularly thoughtful gift, or for yourself as a reminder of the sun behind the rain.

Although going through the industry standard process for annealing means this rainbow is pretty tough, please be aware that glass will always be breakable, and broken pieces will have sharp edges. Made to order.
