This has has been knitted "in the round" with no seams. It is knitted with two distinct yarns - one a wool/ acrylic blend, and the other a wool/ nylon blend. It is knitted using a number of fair isle motifs and is incredibly soft, but pretty strong and hardwearing. It is washable to 40 degrees, and fits an average male/ female head!

I quite like a close fitting hat - especially for gardening and dog walking. There's nothing worse than your hat flying off in a stiff breeze! I have made hats for many friends who tell me they use them for sailing, hiking and even under their cycling helmets to pull down and keep their ears warm.
