'Dark Night of the Soul’ is an oil painting inspired by the difficult and transformative experience. A long period of grief or some other devastating loss can trigger a search for spiritual answers. It leads us to look at the brutal truth of ourselves and open us up to overwhelming feelings of remorse. We become broken in order to let go of aspects of our ego that have been obstructing our potential and spiritual development. In our darkest hour, the light of the Holy Spirit is revealed and provides healing and comfort during this painful time, helping us to emerge with a renewed spirit.
