In honor and memory of the famous, unfortunately now burnt down, Cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris in France. One of the finest example of French-Gothic architecture. The level of detail in the architecture inspired me to sketch it as my very first original work. The amount of statues and gargoyles was outstanding. The arcs and detailing on the walls. No wonder it was still in construction when it burnt. Started in 1163. Amazing.
