The Suffolk Bag

A handmade natural jute spacious and sturdy tote bag designed and made on the Suffolk coast. This bag is made to order and available in a range of shades (see photos). More vivid colours also available if preferred! Please allow 7-10 days for its creation and delivery.

Jute is strong and will not stretch, the handles will therefore keep their shape and will not distort with use.

Your bag is finished with an Italian leather label; however if a vegan version is required, I can swap this for an oak button.

Jute is a natural plant fibre, it is important to me that my products are cruelty-free. It's made in England using materials manufactured in the UK and Europe. I am passionate about slow, simple living and am anti fast-fashion, and am proud to contribute something that looks pretty while not damaging wildlife, exploiting people abroad or racking up air miles!

Measurements (approx):
44 cm (w) x 30 cm (h not including handles) x 22 cm (depth). Grab handles are 12 cm drop.

The bag incorporates some irregularities in texture consistent with natural-based materials - these add to it's unique charm! Colour may vary to the pictures due to variations in screen displays, etc.

My use of jute is inspired by the raw beauty of the wild coastline of Suffolk, particularly the Marram grasses on the fore shore.

The shape is this bag is inspired by natural forms, and also a practical desire for a roomy bag to carry bits and bobs to the beach (and shops).
