I cut and polish my own fordite, surfite and bowlerite, I'm happy to take commissions. If you wish to return an item please inform me within 14 days of receiving it, you pay the postage for sending it back but I refund the initial postage.
The geometric fordite pendant features a diamond of vintage fordite from a Dodge factory which has been bezel set in sterling silver. The fordite has a distorted pattern of stripes with a wide range of colours including pale blue, red, yellow, teal, deep blue, green and cream, the open back setting means that the pendant is reversible and the pattern on the back is different.
Fordite is the name given to many layers of cured car paint that builds up in spray booths at automotive factories. Changes to how cars are painted means less fordite is formed and it is harder to find it. I have matched the colours in this particular material to the 1970 Dodge colour charts, it contains some of the rare 'hi-impact' paint colours, so this would make a great gift for anyone who loves their Dodges or vintage muscle cars. You can see some of the rough in the photos (not included) so if you would like something else making then drop me a message (but be quick I've not got much left).
Measures 34mm (excluding bail) by 20mm and comes with an 18 inch sterling silver snake chain in a gift box.
