The design is entitled Fruit (also called Pomegranate), dates from 1865/1866 and is possibly the second wallpaper designed by Morris to be issued. It features branches of fruit trees including Pomegranates and limes, with wreaths and winter foliage which are rendered in vibrant colour and accented with gold metallic, adding a touch of opulence to this classic William Morris print.
I am such a fan of William Morris' patterns and designs - when I saw that Moda were collaborating with the V & A museums creating fabrics from his patterns - I was over the moon excited!!
