A stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

A whale, an Orca.
I've cut it from shiny dark blue textured and white glass so it is very shimmery.

It looks absolutely beautiful hanging in the window where it catches the light and would make a lovely ornament for any room.

The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top of the whale.

This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.

It is 5 inches long from head to tail.
The 5th photo shows the previous whale I made so you can see they are different though to the same pattern.

I deisgned this as a commission which I made in iridescent black glass.
I now make this design from a very dark blue glass instead as it is just as, if not more, effective but not as wasteful of expensive glass as cutting the curved tail piece without breaking it can only be described as a challenge.... Only took 2 attempts this time and I can promise you I am Very experienced at cutting difficult curves . !
