Commissions taken. This unique concept of the Celtic symbol on reclaimed slate shows the ancient Celtic symbol called a Triquetra. It is one continuous line weaving around itself symbolizing eternal spiritual life, no beginning or end. It is known as the Trinity Knot or Celtic Triangle. Once used as the Christian symbol of the Trinity, can be found in the book of Kells as a decoration, and in Norwegian churches dating back to the 11th century. It represents unity in the spirit and is also a reminder that so many things in our world come in threes including past, present, future; Father, Son, Holy Spirit; earth, air, water.

Painted on reclaimed Welsh slate which was formerly a roof tile on an 80-100 year old cottage in a village in West Wales. This can be made to the approximate size desired and is usually a thickness of approximately 1cm. The painting is done in acrylic and the whole slate is protected with several layers of varnish to allow it to be used indoors or out.

There is a hole in the top to allow for hanging.
