This one is of a Nuthatch, a beautiful and elegant little bird that I often glimpse amongst the branches of the tall oak trees in Endcliffe park in Sheffield. An interesting feature of the Nuthatch's behaviour is its unique ability to climb down trunks and branches as well as up them. It is due to this behaviour that it has become known as 'the upside down bird'.
