☆ your item will be in plastic-free packaging. However, that said, I recycle jiffy bags (which have plastic bubble-wrap lining)
☆ the glass beads in some of the designs are recycled necklaces and bracelets I find in charity shops.
☆ please do check out my Beach Plastic Jewellery range. 100% of the price you pay goes directly to the Marine Conservation Society. How cool is that!
This colourful, cheery suncatcher has been crafted from Cornish beach slate, upcycled glass beads and driftwood from the East Sussex coast.
It has 3 strands, rich with colour, and interlinked with hand-drilled beach slate. Jewellery wire has been used to create 4cm sections of beads to allow movement in a gentle summer breeze.
It measures approximately 18cm across (it's a lovely irregularly shaped piece of driftwood), and hangs 30cm at the maximum.
It hangs from a doubled-up piece of fine hemp string.
This pretty suncatcher will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper and posted in a recycled cardboard box.
Having some little bits of slate left after making buttons, and bits of driftwood and colourful glass beads, I came up with this idea, and I'm rather pleased with it!
Colourful, cheerful and fun.
