Item details

A decorative throw cushion handknit in a basket weave pattern with wool yarn in a taupe colour. The cushion is filled with polyester filling, and the cover is not removable for washing. A red herringbone wool heart is appliqued to the front of the pillow using a blanket stitch. A wood button purchased while on holiday in Tallinn, Estonia, is sewn in the center of the heart. The cushion is 20" x 20" (50cm x 50cm).

Winter 2019 I took up knitting again and haven't stopped! This pattern was part of my relearning process and was supposed to be a cowl but I'm not really a cowl person so I turned it into a cushion cover and I'm really pleased with the result. I added the heart applique for an accent and the button from Tallinn is a special touch. I really hope you enjoy this lovely cushion. The yarn is a very nice quality and the cushion should be a lovely addition to your home!
