Item details

Handmade stoneware vase.

Made in a North London studio.

Glazed in tenmoku (forming the golden brown where thicker) and white around the rim.

Dimensions: 12cm high x 7cm wide (4.5cm at rim).

Pick-up is preferred if you are around central London. Can be collected from Hammersmith during the day weekdays or beside Edgware Road tube station (NW1) evenings and weekends.

My interest in ceramics lays in an innate interest in the arts. I grew up hand-building at school and spending time at ceramics studios painting slip-cast objects throughout my childhood. After completing my architectural studies I desired to get back into clay. In early 2016 I gained a position in a weekly throwing class at Canterbury Potters Association in Christchurch, New Zealand. The hobby quickly became an obsession and soon after I invested in a wheel and setting up a home studio. Since then I have continued learning and producing pieces in both New Zealand and the U.K.

Hope you enjoy living with this vase as much as I enjoyed making it.
