This teardrop shaped Japanese lantern bag has 4 sides and opens up to resemble a lantern which is spacious on the inside.
The outer and inner fabrics are 100% cotton.
The outer fabric is a beautiful dragonfly fabric which is very distinctive. The inner Japanese fabric matches the colours of the dragonflies but has circles of solid colours.
The bag is 10.5 inches long with 42 inch long handles to allow it to be carried across the body. In the picture they are tied in a loose knot for carrying by hand or on the shoulder.
For closure I have made a decorative knot out of red paracord and a fabric loop.
Variations of this bag can be made ie fabric choice, colours, size or different handles. Please contact me to discuss

When I was at my local and favourite fabric shop browsing fabrics, I saw this pattern and fell in love with it. I love the dragonflies on this fabric which are colourful and fun. The inner fabric was on the shelf next to it which I also loved. Japanese inspired fabrics are very beautiful and colourful. After I made this bag with its quirky knot button, I had enough left to make a decorative box for myself.
