a stunning large fused glass dragonfly, with dichroic sparkling glass in its wings. Made from crushed glass pieces, fused in a kiln for many hours in a process called "glass casting". My dragonflies have a copper wire underneath the body, which you can use to suspend the dragonfly from the edge of a vase or flowerpot, from a branch of a tree, you can wrap it around a plant stake and place it in a plant pot ....you can even let it sit on a lampshade! You can position it firmly on a large rock to put on your garden table, simply curl up the wire, and glue it to the rock, it makes a fabulous table centrepiece which will be much admired. Glass will not deteriorate out of doors, I have one on my garden table, and it has suffered storms with no ill effects.

With a 7" wingspan, and 5" long body, it is larger than life, but all the better to admire its beautiful colour and lovely detail.

This one has a dark red-brown body, dark "eyes", and beautifully translucent red-orange wings, with the veins clearly visible along with tiny dichroic glass pieces, which are rainbow colours, and catch the light. I do make them in various colours, but no two are ever totally identical.
