Item details

A digital print capturing the drama of the Argentine Tango. This has origins in photographs, digitally collaged together, plus much opther digital manipulation.

Despite the photographic origins, this is NOT a reproduction. It was conceived and made from the start as a digital image to be printed on paper. It is available in a limited edition print of 50 prints in two sizes. Each print will be signed and numbered by me. Also included is a statement describing the image and its genesis, the process and details of the edition.

The work on the image was done several years ago, but I have never released it until now.

Large size (345mm x 248mm - approx 13.5" x 9.8") Only 15 will be available at this size (Numbers 1-15 in the edition of which 14 are currently available)

Small size (248mm x 172mm - approx 9.8" x 6.8") 35 will be available available at this size (Numbers 16-50 in the edition of which 35 are currently available)

The print will be made on slightly textured art paper about 275gsm.The quoted dimensions are approximate and refer to the size of the image not the paper sheet on which it is printed. All prints will have a border of about 25mm to allow for framing. The mount and frame shown are for illustration only and are not included in the price.

Although this is a limited edition I reserve the right to use the image in other formats such as apparel or homeware.

I'm not sure when Strictly Come Dancing (or Dancing with the Stars in the US) returns to TV screens, but when it is on, the dance I always look out for is the tango, especially the Argentine Tango, since for this at least they always use the correct music. For me the idea of a tango to something by Beyonce is just wrong!

To get an idea what I mean here is a Youtube video from the 2010 Strictly Come Dancing series, which remains one of the best I have seen, up to professional standards.
