An exceptional necklace made of pale green sea glass in a silver bezel setting, fully UK hallmarked.
The pendant is approx. 1.2cm high by 2.1cm wide. It has a small silver circle soldered to the rear, which allows it to hang from a fine silver belcher chain. The chain is available in 41cm (16 inch), 46cm (18inch), or 51cm (20 inch). It fastens with a handmade silver clasp.
The sea glass is a jewel from the ocean. It has been smoothed and polished by the action of the sea, so it has soft rounded edges, and a slightly 'frosted' finish. It is exactly as I found it on the beach - I have not cut, smoothed or polished it.
The glass has not been glued into the setting, and is held in place by the silver bezel. Due to the nature of this style of setting, there may be fractional movement of the glass within the silver mount, but please be assured that it is secure.
This item has been hallmarked by the Edinburgh Assay Office, which is your guarantee that it has been made from genuine sterling silver.
Your necklace will arrive in a gift box made from recycled card, and tied with a ribbon.
This silver pendant features a pretty piece of pale green sea glass that I found on a beach in Seaham, UK. I have hand made a silver bezel setting to hold the glass. The back of the setting is a piece of flat silver, and the sides are just turned over the glass, to keep it in place. It's a relaxed, boho piece of jewellery, perfect for those who love the ocean.
Every piece of sea glass is completely unique, so you can be sure that your necklace is a genuine one-off design. This piece is an irregular oval shape. It has a relatively smooth, frosted surface, with a few abrasions. It is a lovely fresh leaf green colour.
