I have a varied approach to my art work and this was part of a series of canvases where I was working with the idea of layers, textures and the beauty in the world around us. This one was inspired by the vintage postcard I came across and evolved as I created the piece. I like to start with a spark of an idea and then see how the art work shows me the way. I don't set out knowing exactly how these mixed media pieces will look at the end and with this I feel that each one is unique and teaches me new things.
