Natural beeswax makes the best thread conditioner and our triple filtered beeswax come from British Bees and comes supplied in a grip seal bag with a soft cotton cloth and full instructions.

We use it to provide extra strength to thread and smooth down fibres when couching goldwork threads.
Thread conditioner is also used in beading and jewellery making.

It should not be applied to crewel wool because it changes the relaxed structure of the twist or on metallic threads because it cannot sink into the man made polymers.

However, when applied correctly to linen, cotton and other absorbent threads, it does help to reduce tangling and fraying.

We only source the highest quality British beeswax which has been filtered a number of times.

Beeswax is a natural product with antibacterial properties. The colour can vary from nearly white to yellow, we try to source the palest colour where possible.

All supplied in a resealable bag to keep the wax in tip top condition.

Where possible, all items are dispatched the next working day. Customised existing items will probably on take an extra day or so. For bespoke items, we will agree a time with you upon request.

We use Royal Mail standard for items under £20.00 value and Tracked and Signed for some of our larger more expensive items.

Goldwork embroiderers and jewellery makers need to ensure that they are using the best quality materials. It is not always easy to source the purest beeswax and many commercial thread conditioners are either silicone or petroleum derivatives, so we decided to make our own.
We get our supply from British bee keepers and ensure it is triple filtered for purity. It is then moulded by us into little flower shapes that are easy to hold and pull the thread through.
For a professional finish, a soft cloth is required to ensure there is no surplus on the thread.

This is a natural product, sealed after manufacture. We cannot accept returns for hygiene reasons.
