Each denim flower is handmade using up cycled denim fabric each product aims to ensure that textile waste is given a new lease of life while not contributing to the global textile waste epidemic. These denim flowers are made from jeans that are no longer suitable to be worn, passed on or donated to charity.

Each flower has six petals and a silver coloured spin clasp brooch affixed to the back using thread ensuring that these products remain plastic free and longer lasting than if they’d been constructed using hot glue. Each flower is unique not just for being home made but also for it’s frayed edges and seams taken from original garments are all included in my designs giving each flower its unique character. Yellow gold stitching on the backing panel adds the perfect finishing touches.

These denim floral brooches would make a beautiful accessory for a smart casual jacket or embellish a handbag, coat or scarf.

My inspiration for creating floral pieces stems from my love of gardening and nature. My home, studio and garden are filled with plants and flowers which I enjoy surrounding myself with and take inspiration from the natural world around me.

I have began to live a zero waste and plastic-free lifestyle; therefore all my products are plastic free and are handsewn rather than created using plastics-based materials such as hot glues. The fabrics are made using textile waste which would have otherwise ended up in the landfill; I do not always know where the fabric has come from. I aim to source as much fabric as possible from my local charity shops. Therefore purchasing a handmade flower from me equally supports my local community.

These denim flowers are made from jeans that are no longer suitable to be worn, passed on or donated to charity. My flowers are available in a range of fabrics and colours that can add a dash of colour and style to a coat, blazer, hat, scarf or cushion.
