Study Goldwork Embroidery via distance learning at your own pace. Explore the wonderful art of goldwork embroidery, suitable for complete beginners.
You will learn about appropriate fabrics, how to transfer design and frame up ready for sewing.
Learn essential Goldwork techniques for application of unique threads. Discover how to use felt padding and apply metallic leather/fabric. (Vegans will be pleased to know that we use a lovely soft faux leather).

Discover the difference between many types of Goldwork thread and their application.

Upon completion you will have the necessary skills to attempt your own projects.

Delegates will receive a certificate of achievement upon submission of images of the completed project.

Course dates: Join any time (Kit is sent via Royal Mail, so please allow 2-5 working days).
Venue: Your own home.
Time: Approx 10 hours up to 6 months.

Contents
Fabric, backing fabric, wooden embroidery hoop and binding tape.
Spiral bound, lay flat course booklet (English text), designs and tracing paper.
All threads & wires, padding and leather necessary to complete the project.
Needle book containing the appropriate high quality John James needles and needle threader.
Our mini prick and pounce kit.

You will need to supply Scissors and a yellow coloured pencil or gel pen.

Items are produced in a studio which uses natural animal fibres.
