Item details

If you like what we make, check out our Classes at our Black Country Workshop.

Close to where our studio is situated, on the edge of The Black Country in the Midlands, was a late Victorian family manufactory called The Ruskin Pottery. Their surfaces were legendary and their glazed “Jewels” were used by many of the metal smiths in the nearby Birmingham Jewellery Quarter. Over the years I have had exhibitions, led demonstrations, and workshops inspired by The Arts and Crafts Movement at many places including Keswick Museum and Art Gallery.
This piece was designed and made in conjunction with that museum and was inspired by their collections of the work of Keswick School of Industrial Arts.
