These are made from twill weave felted wool, dyed a blue/grey made from a pattern copied from a mitten found in Iceland that is in the National Museum of Iceland.
They are lined with light green linen and finished with a bit of herringbone stitching.
They were found with a bit of cord joining them together so Ragnar's mum obviously got a bit cross he kept loosing his mittens!
