Made from quality Swedish redwood, this vinyl storage unit is a sturdy piece of furniture. The planks are joined with solid hardwood dowels, which were then glued and clamped for 24 hours to create an unbreakable bond. The unit itself, is held together with the new button fix system which not only holds the sections together securely, but also allows the piece to be easily taken apart. As a result, we are able to ship this flatpack to reduce your delivery costs.
The unique face panel on this piece is made from 3mm thick galvanised steel, which is secured into a rebated redwood frame. It is held in place on the unit by 5 small magnets which were chosen to be inconspicuous.
After a thorough sanding, the unit has been finished with 3 coats of Hard Wax oil (Rustic Oak) and then further protected with two coats of premium furniture wax. This is easy to maintain and when lightly buffed, gives you the nice satin sheen that you can see in the images.Whilst it is primarily designed as a vinyl storage/hi-fi unit, this piece can be used in a number of ways. For example, it would make a great media/TV stand, or perhaps a decorative sideboard..the possibilities are endless. The dimensions are as follows:
