This Freshwater Pearl Choker was handmade using Peacock Pearls and Blue Pearls.
I was aiming for a shabby chic look with the Pearls as they have their imperfections like a lot Pearls do. They are not smooth and perfect. They are irregular in shape and they have rings and ridges just as we have folds and lines on our faces and bodies. They tell a story of development and I like that.
This colour combination works well as the peacock Pearls have all the colours of the rainbow in them.
The addition of the silver tree of life beads adds colour and texture. The crystal skull is the focal point for this choker adding sparkle and movement.
This design shows that there is beauty in imperfection.
