Thanks for stopping by! Inspired by my walks and adventures in the UK's countryside and along its seaside, and with a desire to reduce my footprint on the planet, I upcycle found pottery shards, sea glass and scoria glass, into keepsake jewellery to ground you in connection to its story.... to a person, a place, a memory. When you purchase Unearthed Jewellery, you also receive the story that has been uncovered....where your shard was unearthed, and more. I am registered with the Edinburgh Assay office and a Gold Member of the British Guild of Jewellery Designers. All Unearthed jewellery is signed with a .925 fineness mark and UBL makers mark.
Not the right size or colour? Have you unearthed your own shard? Please visit www.unearthedbylynn.com to ask about commissioning your own piece of Unearthed Jewellery.
Connecting you to the land and history from where it came, the blue and white shard from which these earrings are made come from a broken plate, unearthed in Bordeaux, France, by a brocante seller, who donated the plate to Unearthed, wishing for it to be upcycled. The Art Nouveau pattern is called 'Flora' and was made by Creil Montereau in the late 19th Century. Interestingly, one of the company's early directors came from Burslem in Stoke on Trent! They measure 12mm across.
Making a statement of both style and sustainability, your pottery shards are set into recycled sterling silver, called Eco-silver, so you can feel good knowing you are wearing eco-friendly jewellery. Sterling Silver earring posts ensure you shouldn't have to worry about any metal allergies or green earlobes.
This is the perfect jewellery gift for someone who wants to express their unique style and desire to take care of the environment. These earrings are also an ideal gift for either the 9th anniversary - pottery or 2nd or 20th anniversary – Bone China.
They will arrive gift-ready in a cotton pouch, along with their story, inside a pretty tissue-lined box made from recycled materials.
These earrings were inspired by the history of Potteries in Staffordshire and the UK's ceramics heritage as well as my love of hunting around French Brocantes, I upcycled these sterling silver earrings to ground you in connection.... to a person, a place, a memory.
You will also receive the story that has been uncovered....where the shard was unearthed and more.
