This crochet hook has been hand whittled from driftwood and finished with linseed oil and beeswax. This piece has beautiful spalting patterns and is a pale golden colour. Wood is a lovely material to work with, it is warm to touch and lightweight. I use them myself in my artwork and have started making them for sale after many lovely comments from people. These hooks grow smoother with use as the oils from your skin and any wool used with it are absorbed.
Size: approx 10mm
Care: I have checked and tested all my hooks, if a catch should develop, simply rub smooth with sandpaper or a nail file and then wipe over with olive oil, or beeswax if you have it.
I love making hooks with driftwood, it often has naturally ergonomic kinks and curves that make them sit nicely in your hand.
