Perfect for all of your stuff! Pencils, paintbrushes, rulers, scissors and other desk top paraphernalia. You could pop a water tight container inside (used can/ beaker) and use it as a vase or plant pot. You might even want to put a little battery-operated tea light inside and use it as a lantern?
The little pot was made with an original lino cut block and handprinted onto Irish linen, in my small pink studio in Staffordshire. It will be posted in a re -used sturdy cardboard box.
Thank you for looking.
Any excuse for popping another pattern into your home I say. Upholstery, curtains, cushions, lampshades, tea towels and now pots. They are all just that tiny bit better when they are patterned. This pattern is called Doorway Stripe. I often pass a large Georgian House near where I live, I’ve always noticed the doorway and the grand architrave. So, I decided to carve a lino block picking out these details. However, once I’d made it, I didn’t like it, so I chopped it in half! The door way section of the block looked nice printed on its side making this stripe pattern.
