Item details

This little applique heart is stitched into place with tiny white silk stitches, and the border polka dot fabric pieces are also stitched into place by hand. I have embroidered little rosebuds in the centre with leaves. Everything cut and stitched by hand, to make a card to keep.

All my cards measure 12 x 9 cm (5" x 3.5") and come with a recycled paper envelope in a protective cellophane sleeve. Each card is signed on the front, where the title is also written 'Little Rosebud Heart' and my studio stamp is on the back. Cards are made from stout 100% recycled card - blank inside, suitable for many occasions, birthday, wedding, engagement, etc.

I always post promptly first class, and your card will be wrapped carefully and sent in good packaging to protect corners from damage on its way to you. Additional cards only 20p postage per item.

I love to embroider little groups of flowers by hand as they remind me of times gone by when many things like handkerchiefs had a little piece of hand-stitch in the corner! Having studied traditional and modern embroidery techniques, I always return to the old stitches and styles which seem to carry a history of hearth and home in them somehow!
