LAST WEEK OF DISCOUNT DON'T MISS OUT. MOTHERS DAY SALE ! 10% off everything so why not buy your mum a lovely handmade item . use code MEL500 at the checkout until 29th March 2019.
Sycamore wood vase which has been hand turned with beads to resemble a beehive style and which has very interesting figuring all around and a 28mm recycled copper tube set into it which has been soldered and a rubber seal set into the wood so that it is watertight. The fixed tube length is 170mm long and the sycamore wood base is 118mm tall by 78mm in diameter at its widest point and each bead has been enhanced with a decorative burn line. After being sanded smooth the base has been beeswaxed to a shine. The daffodils are not included.
Having made a few single stem vases I wanted to make one which could hold more flowers and this redundant copper tube gave me the material to do so. The beads which are individually cut make this piece very tactile and the sycamore colouring contrasts well with the copper.
This would make a lovely 5th anniversary gift or home decor piece. Any water spillages should be wiped off with a tissue.
