I made this pouch out of a recycled vintage wool Windsmoor coat found in Ilminster, Somerset, and lined it with a remnant of Liberty Tana Lawn cotton in a floral design of greens, blues, and mauves. It fastens at the top with a plain green-blue zip.
You can use this pouch for loads of different things. I use mine to bring some sort of order to all the flotsam and jetsam that swills around in the bottom of my bag. Make-up, travel cards, credit cards, odd coins, lipsticks etc. The wool is quite thick so it would give good protection for any small gadgets such as iPods, or earphones.
Because each of my pouches started as something else (a wool kilt, a tweed jacket, a cotton shirt) they come with a unique numbered card that shows what they used to be, and where they came from – a sort of pouch birth certificate.
All fabrics are thoroughly washed before being reconstructed, and this pouch is machine washable on a wool setting.
There are two slightly different sizes available - please state which you'd prefer when ordering:
approx. 12 cm high by 18 cm wide
or 12 cm high by 16 cm wide
(contents not included!)
