A piece of driftwood found on the beach at Bradwell-on-sea has been whittled into a crochet hook, then used to create a textile description of the seashore. The piece remains on the hook, and is therefore unique.
The seascape is sewn onto acid free paper with the hook acting as a hanging rod, signed and framed. The frame is a box frame made from wood and stained grey. I have chosen to use acrylic rather than glass in the frame to lessen the weight and likelihood of damage when posting. Acrylic scratches more easily than glass and therefore I recommend using a dry soft cloth for gentle dusting.
Frame size: 33cm x 33cm x 3cm deep
The shingle was made of crushed shells, shadows creating colourful stripes toward the seashore, waves gently nibbling.
