Embroidered oystercatchers on a needle-felted background.

The finished textile art comes framed within a shabby chic box picture frame. This textile has been mounted onto acid-free card so can be easily removed from the frame if necessary.

Like most of my work I recreate this seascape in other art works however because each piece is handmade there are always variations in the background makeup and the positioning and shape of the oystercatchers.

- Frame measures 7 inches by 5 inches approximately with a depth of 3cm. Internal depth is just over 1cm
- Contains glass so please handle with care
- Frame can be free-standing or hung on the wall
- Posted Second Class Royal Mail
- Packed securely and safely using recycled/reused materials where possible

Part of my coastal bird collection featuring birds I've seen on walks along the coastlines of the UK and Ireland. Oystercatchers were inspired by holidays spent in Northumberland.

I enjoy working with different fibres and use the colours and textures of the natural environment to inform my making of the textile background. The textile is well-padded with a generous amount of various shades of merino wool, silk fibres, frayed hessian string and a sprinkling of glistening angelina.
