Harris tweed Macleod mens purse pocket change gents flex top coin purse

Here's a super little gift for Dad. This wonderful bright yellow and black design is the MacLeod Tartan; this is the "Loud" or "Dress" Lewis style of the MacLeod tartans, rather than the more usual green and blue.

This useful coin purse is made from handwoven Harris tweed fabric for the outside, and a toning cotton fabric for the lining. It closes with a flex or spring top to keep your change safe; press the ends inwards and the middle springs open, release them and the top springs closed again.

This purse measures approx. 10cm (4 inches) square.

This little purse will be wrapped in tissue and tied up with a ribbon, ready for giving or as a treat for yourself. To get your lovely purchase to you quickly and safely I use Royal Mail tracked / signed for services. Save on postage for two or more items bought from my shop at the same time.

Other styles of wallets and purses are available in my shop

(The change in the photo is to show scale only, and not included!)

It is generally held that Leod was the younger son of Olaf the Black one of the last Norse Kings of Man and the North Isles. Olaf died around 1237 and Leod inherited the Islands of Lewis and Harris with part of Skye.

About Harris Tweed:

Harris Tweed is a very special fabric; in order to be certified genuine and granted the “Harris Tweed Orb symbol” it has to be
"Handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides."

In this ever-changing mass-produced world it is a joy to find something so traditional, truly handmade and sustainable.
