Having bought the pear drop gemstones with the aim of using them as pendants, I then had to find the contrasting stones to use along with them. The black Veined jasper seemed to be a good choice as both gemstones have added colours in the form of veins. The pendant is Gold Veined Black Magnesite which has a very subtle pattern running through it which can be seen in the light. The Black Veined Jasper is not so subtle and has lovely black striations. The soft grey in these gemstones is a perfect contrast to the pedant. I added Carnelian in the form of puffy circles and faceted rounds. The orange is a welcome pop of colour in this design. The finishing touch was a black and silver toggle clasp with circles instead of lines.
