A handmade natural coloured jute and cotton bag made on the Suffolk coast.

Designed as a beach bag, it also makes a stylish storage basket for homes with a coastal, natural, rustic or minimalist style.

Jute is strong and will not stretch, the handles will therefore keep their shape and will not distort with use. I've also used cotton for extra texture. The bag is not lined, but is not 'holey' as I use a fairly tight tension and a small hook.

Jute is a natural plant fibre, it is important to me my products are cruelty-free. It's made in England using materials manufactured in the UK and Europe. I am passionate about slow, simple living and am anti fast-fashion, and am proud to contribute something that looks pretty while not damaging wildlife, exploiting people abroad or racking up air miles!

Measurements (approx):
41 cm (w) x 20 cm (h) x 18 cm (depth). Handles are 11 cm drop. Rectangular base is 18 x 32 cm

The bag incorporates some irregularities in texture consistent with natural-based materials - these add to it's unique charm! Colour may vary to the pictures due to variations in screen displays, etc.

I'm more than happy to customise orders, just let me know if you'd prefer an alternative size or colourway! If you would prefer a round oak button label rather than Italian leather, this can be arranged.

The muted shades of sand, grasses and shingle on the Suffolk coast inspire the natural colours I use to make my handmade bags. And living near the sea, I had to design a range of beach bags, right?! :-D

I can customise a bag if you would like the same shape in a different colour, or with stripes, a handbag charm (like those on my crossbody bags) - I'm open to ideas!
