Horris the Humpback Whale Bronze Sculpture by Christine Baxter.

Each sculpture is handmade by artist Christine Baxter, then lovingly cast in bronze. The sculpture is then finished with a special patina is hand applied to give a natural finish.

-OUR BRONZE-
All our bronze sculptures are cast using real bronze and mixed with a resin in our studio. This traditional cold cast bronze processes has been mastered by Christine Baxter over many years of experience.

-ABOUT THE ARTIST-
Award winning artist, Christine Baxter graduated from Cambridge College of Arts and Technology specialising in sculpture. Christine received tuition from Mike Gillespei, assistant to Sir Jacob Epstein. During her studies, Christine learnt traditional sculpture and modelling processes.

Since graduating, Christine has worked with various companies to create licensed character models including Lucas Films, Warner Films, Disney and Beatrix Potter.

Each sculpture is loving handmade in our studio, therefore items may have slight differences from the images shown in this listing. This creates a totally unique item.

Every sculpture in the 'miniature collection' will come in a wine red velvet pouch, with a certificate of authenticity. This will then be packaged using recycled materials.

The population of Humpback Whales is slowly increasing, and I wanted to celebrate. These magnificent animal is a species of baleen whale. One of the larger rorqual species, adults range in length from 12–16 m and weigh around 25–30 metric tons. The humpback has a distinctive body shape, with long pectoral fins and a knobbly head.
