I rolled down some round wire to flatten, twisted it in my vice, cut it to length and formed rings. Smooth inside and comfortable to wear.
A brief history:
Argentium®silver 935 is a modern sterling silver alloy, containing 93.5% silver. The traditional sterling alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) is modified by removing some of the copper and adding the metalloid germanium.
In 1990, Peter Johns and his team of researchers at the Art and Design Research Institute (ADRI) in the School of Art and Design at Middlesex University, started to investigate the effects of adding various amounts of Germanium to silver alloys. Through their research, the team discovered that the resulting sterling silver was more resistant to tarnish.
All Argentium alloys are nickel-free, resulting in jewellery pieces that can be worn by individuals with nickel allergies.
