Hand made from air seasoned Suffolk estate timbers,

The top is almost 8 feet by 4 feet and 2 inches thick. It is made from a pair of bookmatched planks, one plank was split and the corner has been jointed back, on which adds to the characteur, The bow tie inlays give the appearance of a sea horse.

Also the grain in the largest resin filled knot has been known to look like a tiger's head. Then down the entire table lenght is an African Elephant.

The English Oak trestles are spread with an Ash stretcher.

The two matching benches are from the next Sweet Chestnut plank with entirely Oak legs and stretchers.
This table easily seats eight guests with room to spare. This is a unique item that really has to be seen and touched to appreciate its warmth.

I will have to manufacture a strong crate to pack this set into therefore I need a couple of weeks for delivery to ensure it is safely delivered to you. I estimate the delivery to weigh circa 200kgs The delivery will be to the ground level of the outside of your property only. You will need tools to dismantle the crate and extra help to move the table top minimum 2 man lift. Easy assembly with No 2 pozidrive screwdriver; 13mm socket and a mallet / hammer for the tennon wedges. Post and packing £150 to mainland UK addresses that do not attract any surcharges, Alternatively it could be delivered in person within East Anglia, TBA.

I purchased the timbers in 2017 as a part of a bulk investment. I planned to make smaller tables as a part of my convalesence whilst unable to work. Using it as rehab. Once I started to work the wood and unveil the grain I realised it would be sacrilege to reduce the planks down, Once each plank had one face flattened using a router sledge, I laid two side by side. Then create an impressive 8 x 4 table top. Following on I designed the legs so that when I eventually got round to making the complimentary benches, they would stow away neatly.
