Rescued this tray cloth from a charity shop in Exeter whilst on a break and decided to cut it into two and upcycle it into zipped bags. There is no date on the piece and I wonder who sat and created it and how it came to find itself in a basket under a desk in the basement of a shop. I hope that in say, another 50 years maybe someone else will find it, a little worse for wear and use some of the fabric to make yet another item and give it a new lease of life and so its story will continue giving pleasure to yet another generation.
