This rustic Table-Runner was handmade using locally grown Beech from the borderlands of Scotland.

This board features a shaped handle at the top which can be used for hanging it for storage.

This board is full of character and will certainly make a statement wherever it is used - whether that's serving cheeses and meats, preparing food or just on display in the kitchen. It's length and size makes it perfect to use as a table runner to display your condiments, sauces, nibbles and dips.

This design is based on the signature heart shape of our original Heart of Wood design and it has proved very popular as a gift, particularly for anniversaries, engagements and weddings.

It's also easy to care for; just rub in a glug of olive oil every now and again to keep the wood fresh and happy.

"Beech is a lovely wood to work with as it is relatively easy to shape but hard enough to withstand regular use from knives which makes it perfect for chopping boards.

I've been making heart-shaped boards for years and they have always proved very popular, especially as gifts for anniversaries or weddings. This table-runner takes that original design and lengthens it, allowing it to be used for serving food - particularly cold meats, chutneys, cheeses - or as the starting point for a table display.

Wether you plan to prepare a dinner, chop up a crusty roll for your lunch or serve up a cheese platter this board will serve you well!"
