I’ve imagined making a koala jar for some time now, waiting for the right pot to ‘speak’ to me that it was destined to be a Koala. Sometimes I start out throwing a lidded pot with an animal in mind and it just doesn’t feel right when I come to the sculpting stage, but this time everything was right and my researches led me to create this little friend. Koalas always seem to me as though they’re not quite sure what to do with the digits on their hands and I think this shows beautifully in this little creature.
