An dainty and useful bowl hand turned in walnut wood. This piece of wood had a natural split in it which I have filled with bronze powder set in resin, giving the bowl an interesting detail. It is approximately 19cm (7 1/2in) in diameter and has been given a food-safe finish, so is fine to use when handing round the peanuts. I would not recommend using it for liquids, and it should merely be wiped with a damp cloth after use. Like all wooden items it should not be put in the dishwasher. Or, of course, you could just put it on the sideboard to be admired.

I had this piece of walnut, and with its glorious colour and lovely grain it was just asking to be made into a bowl. But it had a natural split in it which could not be turned away, so I filled it with bronze powder set in resin which gives a touch of gold as the light catches it.
