This rustic heart-shaped cheese platter was handmade using locally grown Rippled Sycamore.

This board features our signature heart-shaped opening at the top which can be used for hanging it for storage.

This board is full of character and will certainly make a statement wherever it is used - wether that's serving cheeses and meats, preparing food or just on display in the kitchen. It's length and size means that it can also serve as a table runner for display your condiments, sauces, nibbles and dips.

The heart shape is our original Heart of Wood design and it has proved very popular as a gift, particularly for anniversaries, engagements and weddings.

It's also easy to care for; just rub in a glug of olive oil every now and again to keep the wood fresh and happy.

"This beautiful piece of Sycamore was crying out to be made into something special! The incredible pattern in the colour and grain of the wood, like folded silk draped over the top, is what gives this wood it's name - 'Rippled Sycamore'. There's almost a translucence or iridescence to the wood that makes it seem to change colour slightly in different light or angles.

I've been making these heart-shaped boards for years and they have always proved very popular, especially as gifts for anniversaries or weddings. This remarkable piece of wood reallly makes this board extra special.
