This sturdy crocheted bag is 100% handmade by the sea in Suffolk, UK. It's embellished with a removeable natural jute handbag charm incorporating shells and driftwood gathered from Gunton beach on the East Coast, and pearl / shell from upcycled jewellery. This bag, with it's unique materials, is one of a kind proudly made in England.

Size:
Approx 26 cm W x 20 cm H x 9 cm D. Handles 7 cm drop.

Colour:
Cream and Silver-Grey; Natural

Materials:
Jute, Italian leather, cotton, Suffolk coast shells and driftwood, pearl. I source the Jute from a 1922-established UK manufacturer who still uses traditional methods to produce their high quality natural product.

Care:
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash.
Please note, as Jute is a natural fibre, the appearance and shape of this product may incorporate slight variations and irregularity, which I believe adds to its handmade charm!

In this bag I wanted to explore using the lovely natural texture of Jute, but using a different colourway to its raw usual shade. Taking inspiration again from the neutral, often cool, palette of the Suffolk Coat I opted for off-white (sea spray, pebbles) and a pale silver grey (sea on a chilly day, pebbles). I used the handbag charm to incorporate the warmer neutrals also found on the beach, and of course, tiny pieces of driftwood and shell. I hope I've managed to capture this lovely Suffolk stretch in every carefully crocheted stitch and row of this bag - and that if you choose to buy it, it brings you joy as well!
