This hat was originally designed as a knitted pattern for Let's Knit! Magazine. A leading UK knitting magazine. I created the hat with two differing sides laying diagonal to each other. In fabric terms this is called the bias. A lady, famed for using the bias cut and bringing it into the forefront of fashion was French designer, Madeleine Vionnet. This hat is named Vionette in her honour.
