This is one of a small herd of alpaca that seem to have been lodging in my home.
There are 6 in total (did you know that they prefer to live in small groups? Go on, buy more than one!), most seem to be pretty well behaved.
Hand stitched from 100% wool felt over a wire armature, then needle felted with an alpaca blend. All felt used is 100% wool.

These little loves measure approximately 10 cm (4 inches) from tip of nose to tail, and stand roughly 10 cm (4 inches) tall.

Please note - they are for decoration (and adoration) only! They are not suitable for young children to play with due to the wire inside. Plus alpaca quite simply do not like being chewed by small humans. It makes them very nervous and they have been known to forget to be house trained.
(seriously though, NOT for children).

Hand crafted here in surprisingly sunny Yorkshire.

Although the corvid family and gothy doings will always be my first loves, I also thoroughly enjoy a bit of whimsical cuteness such as these.
Because my hands are damaged, it helps to mix crafts (eg I cannot stitch for long, so might draw or knit or felt or crochet or eat chocolate). What I cannot do easily is relax, so there is always something on the go.

I made an alpaca for a friend who had been on a birthday alpaca trek. She loved both the trekking and the tiny alpaca, and I enjoyed making him (Fonzie) so here we are, a small herd of little alpaca just waiting for their new homes!
