Item details

A sperm whale is logging on the surface but his food is deep in the ocean. This sequence shows how he arches his back in preparation, then dives vertically. They can dive to depths of 3000 feet and must hold their breath for 90 minutes to do so.

All prints are made in house under my own control and are fully optimised for exposure and colour balance. I use Canon inks and premium paper.

I am fascinated watching whales prepare and dive to amazing depths and this sequence show how they do it. You know when they arch their back and the tail disappears vertically into the water, they will be gone for a while.
